Passionate about volley and started playing it all the while, to transform my last days in college to memories that are memorable. 11pm, just entered in room, again Phone rings, Sahil shouted "CVL Time". An immense pleasure, chilly breeze dim light volley and how do we 14 gathered to play don't, still don't know. Night out at Baba's place, late in class again and eyes forcing to blink for a sleep, but again volley time. 1pm while playing volley, Ajay shouted: "Chalna hai ya nahi". "Oh man, I m there" I answered and confirmed my place in my last most awaited Hostellers Band of Boys trip.
Bull-Shit clothes are dirty, I asked "whats the plan", "we'll leave by 6, as we are not having tickets" Ashish answered "we are going by general tickets from Jammu Sampark Karnti, almost 6 guys". After googling (for all land, rail, water, air route) i alarmed to leave by 5 now. Now no bags to pack and all need BACKPACK. Phones, friends arranged it. Where is the CAM, Sagar borrowed it from Mamu (Thanks Waseem, affulent friend :P) and we left by 5:30 after washing and drying clothes :). Where is the money, all disassembled to withdraw some, and handover @500 bucks and i purschased Britannia Cream Cracker biscuit as a pround accountact of the BackPAck Trip....Yo we are on a move now :)
Amazingly collected general tickets in 10 min, for 799 bucks for 6, isn't preety cheap, all smiled :). Had our worst dinner ever outside station. Oman was bad. We saw Jammu Special, thought to catch it, but after wasting 20 min, we all six found its all AC :( and Jammu Sampark Kranti is on Platform 5, RUN RUN RUN...
It just arrived on platform and we are late, now we can't get seat, but RUN RUN RUN...Don't know how but Chottu ver:1 and ver:2 managed to get one upper berth and 2 seats of lower berth and a RAC upperbirth for our Lalla (Subedar Lalit). Ashish and Ajay managed, dont know how with almost 15 people on lower berth.
Photos, bantering, teasing, sleepless night all turned into chilly winter night till 3am with no one having any warm belongings with them. Its gonna be tough....Ah thats all our trip about :)

Jammu station, never eat Aalo ka parantha, some chicks are hot, can't shoot :( . Prefer private roadways (Karan travels etc) over JKSRTC buses, as they are cheap, urbane and fast to reach Katra (48 kms from Jammu). Got Bhawan Tickets but it has 6 hours limit, as soon as we arrived in KATRA, Pure in its beauty, Hills all around, Police to confirm its a sensitive area, and all r cellphones not working, Govt issues...Can't even get a new Sim without Jammu identity. "Fu*k" after two years, still we can't use are Junk phone sets. Every second person was watching us....y? "Sahab sasta aur bhadiya room" One came near and asked. Finally got one clean, separate, with wonderful lobby having a panoramic view of Bhawan, that costed 600INR for two days/nights. We freshed and i thought its better to have some sleep as after volley and two sleepless nights its aching everywhere.
As discussed we started at 7, nonstop Lalla, Sagar, Surra(Sujeet) stated barefooted and Lalla was leading till Sanjhi Chat(10Km), we took first rest at Ardh Kuwari (6.0 Km) after all police checks, "Jai Mata Di" enchanting at around 11. All have the fear of taking bath at Bhawan since chilly breeze was shivering everyone. Arrived at 1 to Bhawan, purchased Prasad ( Clean and one single way, administrated by Govt). Finally time to bath, water that may freeze anyone. One, two , three...Jai Mata Di...One by one all took bath...Believe me you will fell the warmth inside even tough the temp is very low.
After crawling till one hour in long queue,we got the Divine's respectful Darshan, three pindi's one Saraswati, 2nd Laxmi, last one Kali Maa. All murmuring, praying inside and eyes wide open, thanked God after coming out of the Cave.

Now its the time for another 2Km run to Bhairo Baba, reached at 4:30...and the view there was magnificiant. Moon in the sky, clouds nearby and i was thinking "m tired or refreshed??" within 10 min white - red turned moon was about to set and in another 5 min it vanished. And we started to descend, owing to the fear of Monkeys and Langoors.
Then no pics, rare talks, rested directly back at Ardh Kuwari to put something in our empty belly. And with uprising Sun and barefooted Subedar Lalla's plight led us to take the decision to leave the Ardh Kuwari darshan and we headed towards back to r room after wasting one hour. Note: Lalla denied to move ahead, reason simply he can't move anymore. "Jazban ho aandar toh Dikhta hai bahar" famous quote by Mr. Lalit :P

No one stopped, choose to descend via stairs and with in one and half hour we reached Ban Ganga, then preferred autoricksaw and slept as no one ever slept in their life with no sense where everyone was lying.
Roamed, shopped, explored Katra all from different perspective till late at 2am. Had mouth watering Aaloo ka parantha with desserts....ummm....:)

Next morning, we all set to BackPack with CAM clicking intermittently and our journey was about to end in the same fashion as it all started, Private Bus to Jammu then General Tickets to Delhi and thats how all the events became memorable with this unorganized, unplanned BackPacking trip.
Jai Mata Di
